The compressor shut down and wouldn't restart. I replaced the start relay and capacitor and it ran for two weeks then shut down again. I tested the relay and capacitor and they tested fine. I unplugged it and waited a day and it started and ran for about 8 hrs. then after defrost mode wouldn't restart. I unplugged it and repeated the same scenario again. after shut-down it is hot and makes a clicking sound then shuts down after 5 seconds. The coils are clean and all the fans are running... I was told it might be the head-pressure in the compressor. The compressor tests were good...

TonyMertz, thank you for your question. If the start relay is receiving 120VAC when the compressor stops operating, the compressor has failed and would require an EPA-certified technician to repair the sealed system.
