Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 2/13/2010(UTC) Posts: 2		I love my Maytag washer but I am noticing that I have lint on my dark clothes when I wash them irregardless of the type of laundry detergent I use. I am thinking I may need to clean the filter-especially since I do wash my horse balankets in this washer and it is 17 years old! I have downloaded your tub diagram on the model and it looks like #27 is the filter but exactly how do I get off the top of the agitator to clean it. (Your parts dept does not carry the part so I assuming I should just clean it.) Thanks so much, Denise

Your experience with this machine is amazing. To use it that hard and to have it still running is a testament to Maytag quality when Maytag had quality. I would try to keep this machine running as long as possible. With the newer machines washing horse blankets will soon send you to the laundramat on a regular basis.
