If door opened while in heat cycle, heat element continues to get extremely hot.
Everything is normal during cycle, heat on/ off by timer and shuts off when cycle complete

Does the motor shut off when door is opened? If so, then you either have a grounded heat element or a faulty motor. If dryer produces heat while running in air only then it's more likely a grounded heat element.
