Had a freezer problem last month and had the motherboard, thermistor and temp sensor replaced in the freezer. The next week the damper broke and had to be replaced. Since then the fresh food side says it is 61 degrees but it freezes the milk. I had the thermistor in the fresh food side changed but no help. Any ideas?

Hello, Unplug the refrigerator. Remove the J1 connector from the main control board. Measure the resistance between the wires connected to the pins: J1-5 & J1-2 and J1-5 & J1-1. Measure the exact temperature in the fresh food compartment at the same time. Post the results. Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for GE PSF26PGTABB Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comGene.

gene. Don't know about that, there was never a wire on it. I did find out that there was a third thermistor on the side of the fresh food area and it was the one that was bad. All fixed now.

I'm glad you were able to fix it but it is very strange. Per the wiring diagram for this model number it has to be there. Have you ever replaced the main control board?
Gene.

Gene. The motherboard was replaced a couple of months ago to fix a problem with the freezer. There was no wire on that post then either.
