Any thoughts? Well, I ordered the fuses and the fan and replaced them all. Once I did that the oven would go on, but after a minute or two would stop heating up and gave me an error code indicating that the connection between the keypad and the control panel was bad. So I checked online and everyone said I needed to replace the keypad. Unfortunately, my oven is about 12 years old and the keypad for my model isn't made any more. I checked everywhere, but finally gave in and bought a new oven. This time we got a Bosch single-oven. We've run the self-cleaning a couple times so far (I want to be sure it doesn't kill the oven before the warranty ends!) and everything's working fine. I still can't believe running the self-clean cycle ended up costing me about $1500, but that's the breaks. I hope you have a better experience and get it repaired!

Hi,
I have Kitchenaid Model # KEBC208KSS02, with this same issue. Died during Self Cleaning of Upper Oven.
No control panel lights or anything, Breaker was not thrown, but of course I reset it anyway.
I have pulled apart the oven based on all the good information in this thread, and have found and removed the Thermal fuse that goes from the Control Panel to a grey wire.
It looks almost identical to the picture of part# AP3777386 that you suggested for others on this thread. When I go to that part page though and enter my model number into the compatibality check box it tells me this is not the right part number for my model.
When I look at all the parts available for my model # I do not see this part.
Can you please guide me to the right part number to replace this part for my model number.

Hi Todd, The Part number: AP3777386
you posted is the correct part number. It's not shown in the parts list because Whirlpool wants you to buy the whole wire harness which includes this fuse. Gene.

Thanks in advance for the help! I have made great strides because of this thread.
I have the same problem as described on this thread. My model is the Kitchen Aid Superba double oven, #KEBC277KBL03.
I have used the cross reference tool on part # AP3777386 and it says it is not compatible. So I am looking for the correct inline fuse.
Part # AP3879224 is compatible so I was going to go with that also.

Forgot that this was an issue with my stove years ago. Turned on the clean cycle and BAM! E2F5 code at end of a few hrs of cleaning and it is dead. Same thing happened when it was still under warranty. Technician replaced sensor device. NADA. I am out $200 and still NADA. Anyone out there dealt with Kitchen Aid on this? It's an obvious defective oven, according to all the places I have seen the same problem discussed... It' s 2005 unit. I am FURIOUS. Piece of junk...

Thanks to this thread, I was able to get into the control panel and release the door. I decided to go ahead and order the same thermal fuse that has been recommended over and over in this thread (4456654). I'm having a difficult time installing it though. The issue is I can't seem to push it into the pin assembly. Can I spray something on it to help with the insertion? Perhaps some silicone spray? I don't want to start any fires, so thought I'd ask for some tips first. We had 12 guests coming the next day and the double wall oven was completely dead. I found this site, but couldn't find any local part suppliers with the part, so I was going to buy a brand new unit, but none of the large box retailers carry actual inventory, everything was special order. Luckily, I have a Big Green Egg grill, so was able to prepare everything on it just in time to feed our hungry guests. Life has a way of keeping us on our toes from time to time! I was able to insert it into the assembly. The displays now work again and the oven is heating. There is now a buzzing sound that wasn't there before, any idea what that is? There has always been a rattling fan sound while it cooled, but this buzzing is an entirely new thing ... though may be related. Any ideas? It sounds as if it's coming from behind the control panel.

EDIT: I take it back, only the bottom unit is heating. The top unit is not heating. The buzzing occurs whether I'm using the bottom unit or the top unit. It must be from some sort of fan.

Hi, I have gone the route with the oven failure when cleaning. In my case I have never used the oven clean function until two years ago. When I did - locked door, blown fuse; blown control panel; and thermostat. Tee fuse was a bear to get installed. I was afraid of an accident so called a tech to finish. Thank God I did all the rest or this would have been a far higher bill. It is already high enough with a control panel, thermostat, two fuses, and a service call though not a new oven, yet!
Now I have a follow on issue: The upper oven has stopped heating period. It starts and shows the oven temp yet no heat. The lower oven works fine just no heat to the upper oven? What are the options for this repair?
I still need some HELP. I have a single oven with a big storage space until I can get a handle on what is causing the top oven to NOT heat! Any ideas? As my post explains I replaced everything when the cleaning cycle fried all of my electronics. Now the upper just doesn't heat.
