When washer has a heavy load it does not always complete the spin cycle. The load is not unbalanced and spin cycle has to be restarted to drain the tub, there was also the smell of burning rubber. I removed the lower front panel and observed the belt was somewhat slack on the pulleys. I checked the idler pulley and found it was no longer rotating against the belt. The belt was just rubbing against the idler pulley, which caused the belt to overheat. If I replace the belt, the idler pulley and the tension spring do you think this will solve the problem ? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
