im trying to figure out if the water supply valve can go bad cause im getting water from the saddle valve and thats the furthest it goes the water tank is empty and i check the screen to see if it was clogged up like the manuel suggested

Yes it can go bad.You can disconnect the line coming out of it and try the water dispenser to see if the valve is working. If it’s getting power it should click when you try it and water come out.
