Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/31/2011(UTC) Posts: 8		My Whirlpool gas dryer won't start. I have power to the unit. The timer runs, no tumbling, no heat when I press the start button. I can hear the relay click when I press the button after turning the dial to off, then to a setting. Tried all settings. Nothing works. There is continuity across the the thermal fuse. Any help would be appreciated.

Using the multimeter check the continuity: - door switch Blue to White closed. - start switch Black to Blue closed (with power on and switch pushed in). - timer on timed regular TM-OR, BK-BU, T-W all closed. Disconnected door switch and tested outer leads with door closed, then open: OK - start switch Black to Blue closed (with power on and switch pushed in). Disconnected wires from timer motor and tested Black to Blue: OK - timer on timed regular TM-OR, BK-BU, T-W all closed. With dryer unplugged, set timer to "timed drying" and tested prongs of timer motor. TM-OR: OK BK-BU: OK T-W: NO continuity Does this indicate a different problem? Thanks in advance for all of the assistance
