Dryer was being used this morning then when the wife tried another load it would not start. I have checked continuity on the Thermal fuse and door switch. ALso checked the push to start switch. No problems found. What is next? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks for quick response. Don't know why but I put it all back together and it is now running? We will see for how long. I have a feeling I'll be back. But before I come back again I will check those two fuses.

If it is running then the fuses are OK. Once blown they stay blown.
If you shut the breaker off when you worked on the unit then that may have been the problem. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
Another possibility is the motor. It has an internal thermal protect. If it overheats the protect opens and you then have to wait for the motor to cool down (protect resets) before it will start again. |
