The gurgling noise you heard was the pressures in the sealed system equalizing. This is normal when the compressor is running and gets turned off or the cold control is satisfied. As far as the surge protector is concerned, I have no previous experience with this so am reluntant to respond either way, but can tell you that the ferrite beads work when there is another draw on the circuit that put "noise" in the circuit.(And thier definately cheaper than a surge protector!). =]

My refrigerator shuts off. The light is on but the pump is not running. If I turn the refrigerator control switch to off and turn it back on it starts. Also if I tap the bottom of the box inside where the control knobs are located, it starts. It will run for days and then just stop. Talked to a repair man and installed a new switch on the pump in the back of the machine but that did not solve the problem. He said it might be a board or a thermostate issue but I don't want to throw good money down the drain changing parts that work. Any ideas???

You are welcome. Glad to hear you are up and running.
And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause. |
