Remove the rear panel in the freezer and check how the evaporator coils covered with snow. Normally it suppose to be 100% covered with thin snow. If it's not then the sealed system could be low on Freon or it could be restriction in the system.

If this is the issue then it has to be serviced by a certified technician.

Here are the break down diagrams and Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE MRT15CNCW2 | AppliancePartsPros.com

MAYTAG MODEL msd2657hew

I have tried all your previous suggestions in this thread regarding this issue (freezer is fine, refrigerator is too warm) and none seem to solve the problem. How ever if i place the thermistor (AP4009169) in a glass of warm water the Damper Control (AP4079111) will open long enough to allow the refrigerator to cool to the proper temperature. Do i need to replace the Control Board (AP4366538) or is my problem else ware.

Thank You.

Problem solved. It seems the Control Board (Mid Level) some how lost its programming code. Set the Code to match factory specifications and the Refrigerator is running as it should. So thanks again Gene for the service manual and for being responsive.

Thank You

I have looked at the diagrams and know what part I am looking for, the defrost timer, I just don't know where to look on my refrigerator. It is a Maytag. I have the panels off and the coils are exposed and iced over, I just have to figure out now what is causing it, the defrost timer, defrost heater, or thermostat. I say the thermostat because after I defrosted the coils the first time and turned the refrigerator back on, got everything cooled down, the blower fan NEVER shut off, continuously worked making me think the thermostat wasn't telling it that is was cool enough. Also, when I defrosted the coils to remove the ice I found a "tear" in the plastic, nothing around it to cause a tear, just a small tear. How do I fix that?

Our 8-yr old GE (TBX22QABRRWW) began getting warm (38 to 48F). After turning control to colder settings to keep food cold, I am now at max cold setting. Temperature is eratic in both freezer (-2F to about +2F) and refrigerator (32F to 40F). Compressor seems to cycle normally, and all fans blow freely.

Suggestions?
Thanks,
Marty
