After filling soap into dispenser ... sliding plastic door won't stay shut. Is it a worn out door or does the entire dispenser assembly need to be replaced?

Thanks,

Bud

Hi Gator

In most cases the problem is just a detergent cup latch. It needs more careful visual inspection because it could be the complete dispenser damaged.

- The part number for the detergent cup latch AP2802332

- The part number fro the dispenser assembly AP3844311

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHU4306 UC/12 (FD 8003-)

Good luck.
Gene.

Hi Gene,
I was wondering if you could help me. I have a Bosch SHY66C05UC dishwasher and the soap dispenser doesn't open to let out the soap anymore. I tried just adding the soap at the beginning of the cycle but the dishes come out terribly dirty and greasy. The door slides easily enough when I push on it and the little release lever works fine too. Do you have a diagram and /or instructions on how I could fix this myself? Also, where can I order parts from?
Thanks in advance,
John

John,

What are the two numbers after back-slash in the model number?

Hi Gene,
Are you still there? I haven't heard back from you yet.

John,

Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately I'm not able to find the parts list for this model. The closest I found has 14 at the end of the model number and I'm not sure if the part numbers are the same.

Gene,
Thank you for looking. A few other questions for you: Would the part on my dishwasher have any markings on it that indicate what the part number is? What part is it anyway that you believe is bad? Do you have a diagram that could help me get to and remove the defective part? Can I take the defective part in to a local (Chicago) appliance parts store and ask them to get me a replacement for it?
Thanks again,
John

John,

1. I do not think so.

2. Most likely the problem is a bad soap dispenser.

3 & 4. You have to remove the outer door panel to access the part. I do not have the diagram, but you can live chat with the Appliance Parts Pros team and they will help you to find the diagram and the right part with the best price.
