The Model number is actually pye1000ayw. I have a Maytag Performa dryer, the drum does not turn but when I turn the dryer on you can hear the timer working. I took the dryer apart and all the connections are good the motor is not frozen or bound up. How do I test to see if it the motor or not.

Thermal limit mounts on the side of the heating element. Pop the top to raise it so you can access the heater and thermal limit. Inspect the blower wheel for looseness and clean her up. A slipping blower wheel cause the fuse to blow. The dryer usually gets way too hot on top but takes fifty forevers to dry the clothes shortly before it goes out. more here
