This microwave was recently recalled for a problem involving the door switches overheating causing internal plastic parts possibly burn and cause a fire.
Does anyone know what part or parts need to be replaced to fix this problem.

If it was recalled then you have to call GE to fix it. You can find the complete information regarding this recall here. Gene.

Hi Gene, Thanks for your reply. The Combo unit was replaced and the people are using the conventional oven part of the old one. If I knew which parts needed I could make it safe to use the microwave part. Kelly

I don't think my unit is part of the recall, but yesterday I started having issues with the microwave. I can turn it on to reheat food, but it doesn't heat. I also smell a slight electrical burning smell, but no smoke or wierd nosies. Any ideas? My novice guess is that it has a burnt fuse, but not sure of much else.

Check the door interlock switches - especially the top switch. If you see a scorched wire connection on that switch, that's probably the problem. The switch will need to be replaced. I'm not an expert, but I've seen this on 2 GE microwave units. Hope this is helpful.

To all owners of the SCA2001BSS03:
I found the Technical Data Sheet with the wiring diagram behind the control panel along the inside wall. The paper was in an envelope glued to the right side vertical wall.
