We have a 9 year-old Kenmore microwave/oven combo unit. A few months ago, the microwave stopped heating. Everything else works, we can program heating time, temp, etc. but the microwave does not warm up anything. Can this be the magnetron thermostat or the magnetron itself? Please advise so we can troubleshoot and buy the correct part to try to repair this ourselves.
thanks

No, it does not make any unusual noises. It runs and sounds like it's working normally. However, it just doesn't heat anything up.

Most likely the problem is a bad control board but there is a small chance for the magnetron to be bad as well. Usually a bad magnetron makes a loud noise but sometimes it stays silent even if it's bad and it is not possible to test it instrumentally. - The microwave control board Part number: AP3202740
