I'm trying to determine if the washer is an older belt drive system, or a newer direct drive system(most likely). If the unit is a direct drive unit, you'll most likely have a bad gearcase/transmission. If you can get to the back of the machine, and see if there is a removable panel, that would help get us on track better. :) :) :)

Thanks, :) :) :) It is a direct drive transmission. I checked the transmission for any debris and found none then carefully reassembled. I separated the transmission and the motor and found a broken coupling. I replaced coupling and restarted machine. It goes thru the cycle, fills water, agitates and when on spin mode, it agitates faster draining water partially. Can't find tag anywhere. The washer is about ten years old. The only information I can see is on the control panel where it say Supra. Thanx

Unfortunately, It sure sounds like you most likely have a bad gearcase/ transmission. The shift actuator and or cam are damaged, these components are interior parts in the gearcase, and can't be replaced(per the manufacturer). And of course you'll need the coupler assembly. Part number: AP3963893
It sounds a lot worse than it is, it'll usually take about 60 minutes for a DIY'r to do. Let us know, and we'll get you some more information on how to. Good Luck, Thanks Again, :) :) :)
