Hi
The dryer is heating okay from a cold start, it turns off the heat after about 5 minutes. It will not heating at after that till is quite cool, before I will heat again. When I removed the front panel to view the igniter, When it does heat, the igniter will get red hot, light the gas and the dryer will heat but it appears that after the heat turn off or I open the dryer and restart it the igniter turn red hot for about 15 second but no gas coming, thus no heat. The igniter will cycling this pattern about 5-6 times, before it finally ignite and heat up again. Can you tell me what part may have gone bad and how to diagnose it myself at home. Is there a repair manual available it I want to replace it myself? Thanks for your help. Leelim

While disconnecting the wires from coils, we tripped the circuit (unit were not unplug). Now, the ignitor glows continuesly but no gas flow or flame at all. Not sure what had went wrong? Please advise.

Yes. the ignitor come on stay on red and never go off, we reserch a bit and our thought is the flame sensor may has been shorted, as the the resistant is registered as 0 ohm. It that make sense??

Yes, I would agree, about the flame sensor being shorted. Because it should shut the ignitor off, if the gas valve is bad, or the coils on the gas valve are bad. I would go with the flame sensor. So, when you replace it, and the ignitor comes on, and no gas, then shuts off, you could have damaged the gas valve. I would change the flame sensor. I think that will do it.
