Ordered relay today.
Wanted the overload but the one pictured is incorrect and they dont know of any other .
I have two brass terminals on my overload.
The one shown has one side shortened.
I can get correct overload locally I hope, at least thats what they said.

Received relay faster than expected.
Installed and is running differently, compressor running independently of condenser fan now.Seems much more normal.
Still tho seems like a lot of cycling on and off.
When hearing the condenser fan motor run, there are occasional brief interuptions (Like would be incurred by a loss of power) and after those blips the systems stops.
About 10-15 seconds later, sytem will start up again.
eventually it stops cycling and goes quiet for a while.
cooling fine no over cooling or other issues.
Wondering if thermostat could be acting up.
Could a bad door seal be issue?
Any ideas?
Thanks Richappy

Was thanked: 2 time(s) in 2 post(s)
You have a cold control behind the control panel and a defrost control near the compressor. Tap on both of them to see which one is intermittent.

been hearing clicking from control panel and when "tapped", notice it does interrupt power to rest of system.
checked resistance between terminals, either infinity or .02 no incremental increase as dial is turned. rusty and corroded, dont look too good.
believe that is where the issue is.
Thanks Richappy.

no way to remove bottom freezer tray without destroying it.
will install new temp control and go from there.
If need to change defrost thermo, most techs replace bottom tray?
may get out the hole saw/dremel tool if I new exactly where the stat was.
