Our dryer quit. It does nothing at all. No heat, drum doesn't turn, nothing. I tested the door switch and it is good. I also checked the breaker in my fuse box. There is no noise what so ever, not even a click. Timer settings or temp settings don't matter either. I was thinking maybe a start switch-relay?

Verify 230 volts to the dryer, then check the thermal fuse, a narrow white plastic item on the blower housing.

richappy, I have 230v to the dryer. So I tested that thermal fuse and found it is open. I ordered a new one and hope that is all that is wrong with it. Any reason why they fail? Old age? Thanks for your help. Much cheaper than replacing the dryer.

Sometimes they just wear out. You should check your ducting for a partial restriction that can overheat the dryer.
