I've searched all over for information on my refrigerator (Admiral model HMG19824) with no success. I've seen a picture of the defrost timer and found that you can manually activate it using a screwdriver which I want to try but have no idea where its located. My current problem is the compressor runs constantly no matter what setting I have the controls at, currently I have the freezer at its midpoint setting (1-10, I have it set at 5) and the refrigerator at 1 (lowest or warmest setting). I suspect the evaporator coils are frozen but don't want to take it apart without first knowing where the components are. Any help would be appreciated.

The unit was purchased in North America and the model number was printed on both the freezer door tray and on the back panel of the refrigerator. On the front its listed as "Admiral Designer Series"

Yes, I've cleaned the condenser coil and checked the evaporator coil for ice buildup. The automatic defrost is working correctly and so are the fans that blows on the evaporator coil and condenser coil.

The unit runs constantly and only shuts off for the defrost cycle. I checked the temperatures of both the refrigerator and freezer and found the refrigerator at 40F and the freezer at 10F which I believe are at the high end of the acceptable range.

At this point I believe the refrigerator is just old and needs to be replaced.

Any thoughts of what else I can check would be appreciated.
