:) I want to replace my white control panel and door panel with a black control panel and stainless steel door panel. :) Is it an easy DIY project and where can I get instructions?

The black control panel Part number: AP4261639
Part number: AP4261639

The stainless steel outer door panel Part number: AP4323382
Part number: AP4323382

If you know how to handle a simple tools these parts are not too difficult to replace yourself.

Open the door and remove the six screws holding the control panel. Close the door and pull the top of the console away from the door. Disconnect the ribbon cable from the control board. Lift the console up to disengage the bottom tabs from the door frame and set the console aside. Remove the screws securing the control board to the console. Install the control board to the new console and assemble it in the reversed order.

Open the door and remove the four screws on each side of the door holding the outer door panel, securing the outer door panel with one hand from the front of it.

I'll try to take it apart and put it back together. If it works,I'll order the parts and do it for real. Thanks Gene.

Finally decided to try to remove panel but the screwheads are star shaped. What kind of screwdriver do you use for that?

Sounds like a Torx head screws. You need a special screwdriver for such screws.

Thanks. It's shaped like a star and went to Lowes. Didn't have the right size but now that I know its called Torx, I should have better luck.
