You have to remove the front panel in order to access the belt. Unscrew two screws on the bottom of the front panel and slide it down.

- The belt Part number: AP3867042
Part number: AP3867042

the problem I am having is not with removal of panel but it is with the actual belt installation on pulleys, i dont know how the tensioner comes into play with belt install .

 I have an older White-Westinghouse washer - Model# LA640JXW3. The washer is not spinning or agitating. I have identified the problem. The pulley wheel is broken and the belt is worn. I went out and purchase a new pulley wheel and belt, but I am having a hard time with the installation of the belt on the pulley. I just cannot get it on there. I tried to put the warn belt back on. I will work for a few moments and fall off. Can anyone give me an idea of what I am doing incorrectly?

Would the replacement work and belt be the same for a model MWX413REW1? My belt is screaming on spin cycle now as well. Many thanks Gene!
