Sorry for the confusing question from earlier. Basically my dryer takes too long to dry. The timer advances properly and shuts off with no problem. It seems as if the element is not coming on or staying on long enough or it cycles too much. I thought maybe the timer might be messed up and stuck in the low heat selection mode even when I turn it to high heat. I did not replace the timer but I did replace just about everything else. It does have an Auto drymiser selection and I am guessing that it can maybe detect the amount of moisture inside the dryer which would either increase or decrease the amount of dry time from load to load. I replaced the thermostats, element, and thermal cutoff. You said in the last response that "One thing it might do is keep the thermostat's internal heater on all the time which would keep you in a low temp mode" Were you referring to the timer? Or, is it possible that a faulty timer is causing the dryer to stay in a low temp mode? I have taken the dryer apart and thoroughly cleaned it and I also tested it, unhooked from the dryer duct/vent that leads to the outside of my house, eliminating the possibility that it might be clogged up.
