I have Voltage on both sides of the heating element while the dryer is running and the element tests 9.9 ohms when tested across the posts. but NO HEAT. My wife says it sometimes heats.
The dryer runs and everything seems to be working properly except the Heat Any Ideas?

Wow...no help so far on this site. I've got 124 volts on one side of the element ( one side to grnd) no voltage coming out of the heater relay. I'm guessing that means I've got a bad relay. The 124 volts coming through the motor is making it to the Heating element but not the voltage through the relay.
Anyone out there? (as he listens to the sounds of crickets)

check the two fuses/breakers in your elecrtical panel. There should be 240 volts going to the heater.check the high limet thermostat on the heater box to see if it,s closed. If opened replace.
