My washer hasa loud "gear mesh/bearing" type noise when spinning or aggitating? It sounds like it is coming from the transmission area. Any ideas? or common problems? Thanks

Tilt the washer back, remove the belt and check how freely the pump pulley is moving in both directions. A faulty pump bearing is very common problem for such washers. - The pump assembly Part number: AP4372886

Remove the front panel and check for a water leak through the center of the tub. In such case very possible damage to the central bearing.
