Guys, our GE Microwave model: JVM3670SF02 was accidently run (won't say who but it was the wife) without any food in it till it went dead. Since its a fairly new model, can I assume that it blew the internal fuse (no display lights are on)? Where would the fuse be located and can I get to it from the bottom myself (since its cabinet mounted)?

Your thoughts?

thanks

Unplug microwave and remove the front griddle. Once done you can get to the screws that hold the control panel on and remove the control panel. Once done you should be able to see the fuse. Hope this helps. Microwave Repair Guide

Thanks, thats just the one fuse #AP2631556 correct? Also, when you say the front griddle, your talking about the frame around the front display and push buttons? Sorry, just want to make sure...thanks

Yes, that is the fuse I was talking about however, there is a thermostat that may have overheated. Check the fuse first because you have to take the microwave down to check the thermostat.

The griddle is the vent that goes across the top of the microwave and the control panel is the part with the buttons.

Well, was able to get the griddle and control panel off, replaced both fuses, plugged it back in and no lights or display came on. Anything else I should try. What else would keep it from getting power?

There is a thermostat on top of the microwave that probably overheated. You will have to take the microwave down and remove the case to access the thermostat. This page will help http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/GE-spacemaker-microwave.html I know you are not replacing the magnetron tube but that page will help with disassembly.
