I would measure the freezer temperature, should be less than 10 degrees. If not, it's probably low on refrigerant or has a condenser clog.

Clean the condenser coils in the back of fridg. and check the condensing fan. If ok, call a pro. to check it.

thanks richappy, i looked under fridge ann couldn't even see the coils because of the dust. blew out AND vac, did the trick. now i can finally buy groceries. fridge is only 2 years old, i would have never thought,
