I have to replace the drain hose on the dishwasher. I have noticed that for it to be installed, there will be a fairly sharp bend to it. This is where the old hose started to leak. There is a tube with a ground wire attached which is attached to the pump outlet. Is it OK to remove this tube and connect the new hose directly to the pump outlet? This is the first time that this hose has been removed since the dishwasher was manufactured.
