My washer isn't draining properly. I took apart the front and found a sock lodged in the pump. I put it all back together but it didn't solve the problem. The switch also doesnt stop at "off", but it keeps going through all of the cycles. I'm not sure if these are related or not but the problems began at the same time.

They should not be related. Try replacing the timer, this part here, but think about it first and decide if you want to put that much money into a machine this old. If the timer does not fix things you may be able to return it if you purchase it from this site, see the returns policy for details. Part number: AP4024623
