I have a Kitchen Aid, Model #KSRB25FKSS01. There is a problem with the freezer, where the temperature randomly warms up enough to melt ice cream, soften frozen food and melt the ice in the door ice bin. The first sign of trouble is usually a pool of water on the floor at the front of the freezer. The warming typically lasts anywhere from half a day to as long as a day or two and then it gets cold and freezes again. After the freezer cools down enough to freeze food again, it will run fine for several days to several weeks and then the warming happens again. The most recent warmup was last weekend (3/27/10), but this time it has not refrozen yet, as of 4/1/10.

If it's still in the "warming" mode, check if the compressor is running. If it's not, most likely the refrigerator stuck in the defrost mode. The correction is to replace the ADC (#6 on the diagram). - The ADC Part number: AP4340119
