My Kenmore Elite HE3 dryer makes a loud noise when its on. It heats fine but the noise is loud, even with the laundry door closed.

I have been Googling and found that many people said to replace the rollers and the belt since you are taking the dryer apart. To replace all 4 rollers and the bet, its going to cost me around $80 w/shipping.

I took back panel out and inspected inside. I did not take out the drum. But I saw the rollers. They looked fine, but I did not move them since the drum is still there.

Is it possible to diagnose the issue by the noise?

Here is a YouTube clip of my loud dryer.

It is very difficult for us to diagnose a noise, since the main way we do so is to listen to it and diagnose based on location and type of sound.

See if you can operate the dryer with the back off and locate the source.

Hi...our dryer just started making the EXACT noise tonight (it actually vibrates a little too). What was the diagnosis and was it worth it to get it fixed? Did you call Kenmore and schedule repair, someone else, fix it yourself, or just buy a new one? Approximately how much was the repair cost if you had it fixed? Thanks!

finally fixed it. i just ordered the 4 rollers. it was easy to take apart and replace the rollers. it took me so long, because i was lazy. so i clean in the inside of the dryer too.

but i think it was not the rollers since all 4 it was fine. just for kicks, i also checked the front where the fan wheel is. there was so much lint and a dryer sheet. i think that was the problem and not the rollers.

check the blower fan area first in the front of the dryer. it was just a 5 min fixed. to replace the rollers it was about 1hr.
