Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 1/6/2009(UTC) Posts: 9		My microwave has no power. It ran for about two seconds, then went black. I would like to start by checking the fuss. Any help on how to open this box up to find the fuse? I am sure I can get there but, not before a few deadends. Any help to avoid a few of teh deadends would be appreciated.

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 8/16/2007(UTC) Posts: 3,273		You have to first uninstall it. Then remove all the screws that hold the cover on. This will expose all the working parts. Normally, there is an inline fuse near the spot where the power cord is attached.

I got the microwave off the wall, but expected it to be open in the back to access the fuse. No such luck. It looks like I need to remove some twenty screws top, sides and bottom to remove the entire casing to get to the fuse. Is this correct? As I said earlier, I think I will only take this as far as the fuse, but really would like to give that a try before I consider taking it in for repair. Your help is appreciated. Again this is a Frigidarie FMT106T1W1.
