Shortly after I purchased my fridge, in November 2007, I heard a flapping noise. The repairman told me that this model did have a defective baffel. He did replace the baffle but informed me that the defect was cosmetic and did not affect the operation of the unit.
Flash forward. The unit is now performing in the following manner:
The freezer will warm slightly (enough to soften ice cream) and then resume current temperature setting. I notice frozen condensation on the back wall of the freezer unit. I do clean the seals.
The fridge compartment is now room temperature (food ruined, of course), but the freezer is functioning properly. The entire unit is still cycling in a timely fashion.
