WE purchased a new timer, but cant seem to get the timer control knob off. Any suggestions?

Look on your replacement timer and see if the shaft is threaded, which it should be.
In that case push in the old knob and turn it counter clockwise to take it off.

Ok, well look on the back of the timer and see if there is a tab which when pulled out will release the knob. The picture of your timer does not show this but maybe the pic is wrong. There may also be screws or tabs which hold it on from the back.
If that is not the case look for a clip between the timer knob and the console facing.
If both of these do not work, I am at a loss until I have a model like yours in front of me.
