It sounds like it is coming from the top of the brake package. I found the service manual. It looks like the problem may be the Outer Race Spin Bearing. Does that make sense? Would this be the right part? Part Details - WHIRLPOOL Bearing, rear, part number: AP4027027The manual says to use the brake tool to unscrew the brake package. Is there a substitute or other tool that would work? I see a 4 tab part on the spline, is that what the brake tool removes? Thanks

OK, I have the parts. Wow, ordered Friday AM, arrived Saturday AM, thanks, AppliancePartsPros!
The new tub bearing kit comes with an inner sleeve bearing. I see the old one on top of the tranny, but it doesn't want to come off. There are notches on the tranny, just below the bottom of the old sleeve, and it looks like the sleeve may be peened in at the notches.
How is the old sleeve suppose to come off?
Thanks
