When I tried to start the microwave today (Jenn-Air Model M169W), the control panel initially acted as if everything was OK, but the microwave did not actually turn on. For example, I entered 2 minutes cooking time and pressed start, then the timer started counting down as usual, but the microwave did not actually do anything. I thought it might need reset, so I unplugged the unit and plugged it back in. At that point, there were no lights on the control panel whatsoever. The light on the inside works, so I know it has power. It is as if the control panel itself just died. Is this repairable, or am I looking at a replacement?

Thanks

An update. I left the microwave unplugged overnight, then plugged it back in the next morning and it worked for a while. Then it did the same thing as before: first, the oven stopped working, even though the control panel showed the timer counting down. After unplugging again, the control panel failed to light up. Now, if I leave it unplugged for a few minutes, then plug it back in, I can get the control panel to light up, but the oven won't start.

I have same piece of junk. Paid a lot of money to get what I thot was the best. It works OK for a year or 2 then has to be reset. Has cost me $225 over 10 yrs for Sears to come out to reset. Have you come up with a solution?

What is it that Sear's resets? I have a JMC7000ADB doing the same. I turned the breaker off for 20min and it did not change. My display and controls work fine, and I hear a relay pull in.
