Hi,
Washer started out shaking alot. Then started walking around. Then thumping noise at start of spin cycle.
Now it fills fine, drains fine, but no movement at all. No agitating or spinning.
When you have it powered, it hums loudly and makes a wind down hum when power is intterupted.
Lid switch is ok and it is getting power.
Thanks, Brett

Seems like there is something caught in the tub, pull front panel off and turn the tranny pulley, one way agitate, the other way spin. If very hard to turn, shine a bright lite in the spin basket and look for something caught.

I neglected to mention that my washer (Amana LW8203W2) has a new timer installed, lid wires jumped, swtiched to another water level switch and another water mixing valve but still it will only fill then agitate and comes to a stop--no timer motor sound. I am almost giving up. Pls help.
Thank you, Narapni
