I have a Maytag dryer MDE2500AYW that makes a loud squeek when the drum turns, even turning in by hand. I assume there is a bad bearing somewhere. How do I remove the front panel to gain access to find out what is making all the noise.

Take off the door and the similar screws opposite it. Then the goal post shaped piece will come off. It will be pretty obvious from there how to take the rest of it apart.

Problem could be rollers. Replace them and clean out everything. Here is a service manual for your model.
