Hi - great site by the way....I read all the posts before I posted this so as not to repeat - but my disposal has been making such a horrid high-pitched noise, and just noticed a burnt rubber smell now, and now the water won't drain. I turned it off naturally, cleared out the un-chewed food, the water is still draining slowly - your thoughts?

Power works great, have always used water, treated garbage disposal nicely, etc....thanks for your assistance!:D

Hi Leah,

The first problem is a clogged drain line which has nothing to do with the garbage disposal. You have to call a plumber to unclog it.

The high pitched noise could be because of a small hard foreign object stuck inside.

Gene.
