I have gotten into the service mode. Have done a motor and motor control test, nothing happens when i start the test. I think it means its the motor or motor control board but I don't know which one.

There are decent diagnostics behind the kick panel undr the door. Also, applianceaid.com has a section on diagnosing this problem. If you have a meter, you can check things. Without a meter it will be very difficult to fix this.
Be aware, if you feel any roughness in the spin basket, or the washer made louder than normal noise during high speed spin, you have bad tub bearings which would be an added expense.

See Neptune Bearing for more info on replacing your MAH5500 bearings when they start to get loud. A technician will quote you $900 or so to replace the outer tub... Just change the bearings instead. It is best to change them when you first start to hear them getting louder. Some folks ignore the sound until more damage is done which makes the bearing replacement more difficult.

Keep in mind that if you have a Maytag Neptune with a timer knob (non digital) you will want to replace your door latch wax motor if you have not done so yet. See Neptune video for a video that shows what happens when your faulty door latch wax motor shorts out.

Called Maytag customer service and the motor was under the warranty. They are shipping me a motor and motor control board for free. Must have been my lucky day! :) :) :) :)
