Hello, my washer filled with water and now does nothing. You would think it was unplugged except that the option lights are lit. My guess is that the motor has burned out? It did make a horrible sound 2 wash loads before. The machine is 12 years old, in terms of price, is it time for a new one or is it possible or cost effective to have a repair man come out if in fact it is the motor? I removed the clothes and the tub remains full of water.

Was thanked: 4 time(s) in 4 post(s)
The first thing I would check is the lid switch (#11 on the top break down diagram).

- New lid switch and step by step instructions on how to replace the lid switch: Part number: AP3100003
Part number: AP3100003

Here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid washer Model KAWS777EZ0

Gene.

P.S. If the washer is not rusted it is much smarter to keep it.
