I bought this appliance at Lowes 2 years ago. I received this error once and researched it and found that turning off and on the power resets it, and it worked. Now it's happening again! It happens everytime I choose any oven heating option. F13 ERR shows up on the display... #$%@#$% and wont go away with power reset! I need any help you may have in fixing this. I do not have warranty and want to fix it myself. Hi Jorge, The "F13" error code means "Bad EEPROM identification/Checksum error". If reseting the power did not help then according to Frigidaire suggested corrective action the electronic oven control (aka EOC) has to be replaced. - The part number for the EOC is AP3874704 Gene.

Well I have BIG news... I called Frigidaire (and they were very friendly and helpful) and was told to try and shut the power down, which proceeded to tell them I already tried. They then told me that I have a bad "Clock/Timer, electronic". 20 # 316418735 Clock/Timer, electronic, ES510
as found in the Factory Parts Catalog...Link here: ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/Pr...ssomption/5995449856.pdfBut, out of desperation to not waste 160 dollars, I decided to try and shut the power down to the range for a longer time (they only recommend 1 minute). So, after having shut it down at night and getting home after work, I turned the breaker back on and tried the oven and IT'S ALIVE...AGAIN!!! So, to all of you having this problem, turn off the power as long as you can...12 hrs +. Wishing you all best of luck and I hope mine lasts ... very sketchy electronics quality. I will post if anything changes Originally Posted by: Gene Hi Jorge, The "F13" error code means "Bad EEPROM identification/Checksum error". Well...the nice looking POS dies shortkly after resetting it (I get a couple uses out of the oven before the F13 error comes back. I will be buying the $160 part and replacing it myself! No more Frigidaire appliance for me  ...I bought 3 Frigidaire appliances at the same time (side by side fridge / Range / and Microwave) and the Refridgerator was returned shortly after (crazy unfixable popping noises problem) and now the Range has bad electronics. I hope the microwave holds up... Does anyone have assembly experience with this part? Are there any good instructions / tips out there??? Originally Posted by: JORGEMEDE Well I have BIG news... I replaced the Clock/Timer, electronic in April 2008 and now it is having the same error. I called the part supplier and was told there is only a 90 day warranty, but to try calling Fridgadaire. So I did and after going over all the problems with the range (Clock/Timer, electronic replaced and burner turning on by itself, which I ended up burning myself badly and then pulling my hand away and cutting it badly on the range hood....Doooohhh) they offered a FREE SERVICE CALL!!! That says alot to me about Fridgidaire and how they chose to handle customers with product problems. They maintain me as a future customer ... I will keep you all posted. Unfortunatly, I did not know that. I bought the parts from Appliance Parts from V and V Appliance Parts Inc. and they only guarantee the parts for 90 days (only GE parts are guaranteed for one year). I guess you get what you pay for ... thanks for the info Gene, I will be more careful in my next purchase. Originally Posted by: Gene
