I was advised that my high power transformer blew. I need a new one. The part number is Wb20k5036. I can buy one for $172. I found many other high power transformers on ********, but I don't know if they are compatible. Does anyone know how many watts the microwave is for the model JKP69BY1BB? The repairman said is was not a high power model (around 6500 watts). Are the transformers more or less interchangeable? I see them for 45-80 bucks usually pulled from a shipper damaged unit with no use on them...any ideas?

I would junk it, and put the money into a new one, may be other failures like a shorted magnetron.
