Hello,
I am living in a country that has 240v 50htz for power and I own a maytag washer that is 110v 60htz. I currently use generator power that produces 60htz and would like to possably change out the motor to a 240v 50htz. I have been very pleased with this washer and was wanting to weigh out the cost involved in replacing the motor or getting another wash machine. What is the cost of a 240 50htz motor, and what would be involved in the switch over?

Was thanked: 2 time(s) in 2 post(s)
You would also have to change the power cord, timer, water solenoid and start capacitor.
These should be available in country, I have not seen them here.
