The Dacor Microwave started sparking so I took the mirowave apart and removed the magnatron part number AP3392917 (66354) and could see that the end was all burned away from arcing. thinking this was the problem I replaced it my order with you 302569. fedex delivered part next day assembled and heated up the first baby bottle same problem but now the display is unreadable on the front pannel. I read online that I might need to replace the capacitor(?) what do I need to buy. the mirowave issues are.
1 sparks and flashes 2 display is now unreadable.

Remove the magnetron and check if the waveguide has a burned spots.
If it does - it's not repairable.
If the microwave is less than 5 years old, call Dacor - it should be under the manufacturer warranty.

I have a Dacor built in microwave. It is flashing like lightning inside. I can see that the "Cover Wave Guide" has a burned area and even some material missing. Can I replace it easily? How do I get the old one off and a new one on? I have a hunch that this repair is not worthy of an expensive service company visit. HELP!!!

Dick,
You can find the answers in the previous reply. The situation you described is very similar.
