My washer will not spin in the spin cycle. It goes thru all cycles but when it comes to spin it just pumps out the water and no spin, clothes are drippng wet. I had my husband replace "timer" and work for two week now go back to the same problem. if any one can help.
Also I would like to know what is the motor switch for?

Pull the outer cover off, pull the pump and motor. Check the coupler, it may be broken. If ok, turn the tranny coupler clockwise till the spin basket starts to turn. If very hard to turn with thumb and forefinger, you either have something stuck in the tub, or sticking brake shoes. Post results.
