My father has given me his maytag dryer. He dopped it off the other day, also he has not had any problems with the dryer. I hooked it up and it is very noisy and only works for about 5 to 60 seconds. You have to wait a couple of minutes before it will come on again. What could be wrong?

Remove the front panel and the rear access cover and check for the possibly dislodged drum. It could happen during transportation.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag dryer Model LDE4914ACE
