front loader apartment washer will not drain or spin. the motor (pump) is making a growling sound with a code nd being displayed. this unit over the past month has displayed the suds code but by changing the settings for extra rinse has allowed the unit to operate up to this point.
I susspect the motor/pump may be the cause.

"nd" indicates a problem with the drain pump. If you can access the pump, try jumping it with 120VAC to see if it runs. If it does, there may either be a problem with the control board, or you may have a blocked or restricted drain system. I have seen more than a few times when there was a coin (usually a quarter) stuck to the flapper in the pump, causing it to be inoperable.
