Washer spins fine until it kicks into fast spin, then the inner basket starts getting out of balance. After about 15 seconds the inner basket starts hitting the outer drum then it starts shaking around. This happens whether there are items in the washer or not.
Also, we notice in our book that the warranty covers the costs of an inner wash basket (parts only). Would that be for a part failure or maybe just rust?

sandlmax I better be wrong, but it sounds like the bearing in the rear outer tub is worn out and it has nothing to do with the drum (what you called "the inner basket"). This problem is repairable but it is very expensive (comparable with the price for a new washer) and the job is very complicated. If you really want to fix it I would recommend to call a certified technician to do it for you. - Here are the break down diagrams for the Frigidaire front load washer Model FWT647GHS0Gene.
