I already replaced the belt,
if I hole the door switch down the drum turns, I can feel the heat
but it won't stay on.

Hi,

Model#?
https://www.applianceaid.com/model-number.php Some model# helps.

**I already replaced the belt**

For this problem or the belt needed replacing and this new problem started after the belt replacement?

Many GE dryers have a broken belt switch. If this switch fails, gets out of place, if the idler arm is out of place or bent the dryer can think the belt is broken and will shut off as soon as you let go of the start switch knob.
Retrace your steps and check for all of above.
